Enough About You – L.O.V.E.
“L.O.V.E.” by Enough About You is an indie pop track that is lyrically a “(pre)break-up-we-may-as-well-get-it-over-with” song, yet musically uptempo, with a happy and liberating-sounding melody. It is taken from Enough About You’s recently released album, Album of a Nobody, which contains several songs of differing moods, lyrically and musically, including ironic, anxious, excited, rueful, hopeful, tuneful, and celebratory.
From a review of “L.O.V.E.”: “An uptempo acoustic guitar introduces the track as the beat lands on a funky retro alt-pop groove. On the mic, the singer combines the conversational tone of folk-punk protest icon Billy Bragg with the personal emotional narrative writing style of Morrissey to tell a clever tale of love on the rocks. Musically the track brings to mind another Brit-pop legend, recalling the classic pop/jazz leanings of Paul Weller and The Jam.” (Source: Static Dive)
